There’s a first time for everything and for Ryan Reynolds it happened yesterday, October 22, and his wife Blake Lively is quick to commemorate the momentous event.

It was Reynolds’ first time to vote in a U.S. presidential election ever since he became a naturalized citizen. Knowing this couple, they wouldn’t let this occasion pass by easily. They’ve always been fond of poking fun at each other especially on the internet. So when it was time for the actor to cast his ballot, his wife immediately though of something creative to post on her Instagram.

She captioned it, “It was Ryan’s first time. He was understandably scared. It all happened so fast. Like, REALLY fast. He wept. I pretended to weep. Then he called all his friend [sic]. #voteearly.”

On the other hand, the actor also celebrated in his own little way on his page and though it wasn’t related to his wife’s post, it made fans took a second glance at Lively’s shoes.

He wrote, “This is my first time voting in America. I’d like to thank my wife Blake for making my first time so gentle and loving. It was super scary at first, then exciting and now I’m a little tired. But proud. #VoteEarly.”

His post puzzled his fans a bit because in October 2018, he took a selfie with Lively and wrote, “What a birthday! I just smoked a huge bowl of early voting. #JustVoted @whenweallvote.” This wasn’t his first time to vote in the US but it sure is the first time he voted in a presidential election.

But this wasn’t the only thing that sparked interest among fans. Lively was barefoot in her husband’s post but in her post she was “wearing” shoes. Well fans were quick to figure out that the actress simply drew them in.

Based on her Instagram Story, she asked, “@louboutinworld are you hiring? Barefoot iPhone doodler with vast experience avail. Impressive résumé upon request.”

Reynolds and Lively aren’t the only celebrities who voted early. Many also took to their social media accounts to show photos of themselves wearing or holding the sticker that says, “I Voted”. Some of these stars are Selena Gomez, Jessica Alba and Cash Warren, Natalie Portman, Halle Berry, Kelsea Ballerini, Reese Witherspoon, Joe Jonas, Demi Moore, Jennifer Aniston, and more.
