Gwen Stefani and Bake Shelton are engaged! The power couple announced their engagement on Tuesday on Stefani’s Instagram page together with a sweet photo of them kissing.
She captioned the post, “@blakeshelton yes please! 💍🙏🏻 gx.”
The country singer also shared the same pic and captioned it, “@gwenstefani thanks for saving my 2020… And the rest of my life.. I love you. I heard a YES!”
The No Doubt frontwoman and country singer started dating in November 2015 after they broke up with their partners. Shelton and Miranda Lambert called it quits in July 2015 while Stefani and Gavin Rossdale split in August 2015.
Shelton was interviewed by ET Online about his relationship with Stefani. He said, “We’ve been together now for five years, believe it or not. We’ve worked together and we’ve written together. So at this point in our relationship, we’re always looking for what’s the next thing that we haven’t accomplished yet.”
Stefani and Shelton are both coaches on The Voice and they’ve shared a lot of romantic moments on the show. In June 2019, shared with ET Online how his girlfriend has changed his life.
“She’s never not been supportive or a cheerleader, just the most encouraging person I’ve ever had in my life, on any level. It’s unbelievable how supportive she is. I tell her this all the time, and she doesn’t realize it, but Gwen’s one of these people that I learn so much from, because no matter what the situation is, she has a way of looking at something from every angle possible, and understanding if there’s turmoil or something going on, instead of just jumping to conclusions or reacting, it’s, ‘Well, here’s why they may feel that way.'”
He continued, “I’ve learned a lot from her — to not be so reactive as I used to be. She’s definitely helped to calm me down, for sure.”
As far as wedding plans are concerned, he revealed, “You know, I gotta say that we couldn’t be happier, and we’ve never been doing better. Obviously, that’s gotta lead somewhere, but I promise you, we won’t break the news in any of the grocery store trash magazines.”
Last year, they bought a new house in Encino, California. Further, Shelton is also close with Stefani’s sons whom she shared with Rossdale.
