There’s a reason why Kris Jenner refers to her son-in-law Kanye West as the “king of gifts”.
During Kim Kardashian’s lavish 40th birthday bash in a private island in Tahiti, her husband surprised her and her family with a hologram of the late Robert Kardashian.
Although it was a gift for Kim, Kris and the family couldn’t help but show their appreciation for Kanye. It was a special gift unlike any other because of its sentimental value.
Andy Cohen interviewed the momager on Sirius XM’s Andy Cohen Live where she talked about the gift and praised the “Famous” rapper whom she dubbed as “the king of gifts”.
The matriarch said, “You know, we didn’t really know what was happening because it was such a small group, inner circle. Just our family and a few friends. And when we were summoned to this room and said you know, ‘Kanye has a gift.'”
According to Kris, she and her children were ushered into a dark room. They had no idea what was happening but as the hologram started playing, they were emotionally overwhelmed.
“It started and we just all started to cry. It was just so intense,” she explained. “I must have watched it 20 times. It was really good. He is the king of gifts and he worked on that for a really long time. So, it was definitely one of the most incredible things I have ever seen. It was really wild.”
She revealed that everybody was quiet the whole time and were all in tears. She added that the family wanted to “see it again and again and again.” She shared that everybody could hear each other crying because it really, really emotional.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashian star was so touched by the hologram that she went back to her room for a while to digest everything. She said, “It was intense, and it was a beautiful, beautiful moment, so I just wanted to kind of enjoy that.”
There are some who criticized the said hologram on the internet but as always, Kris was unbothered. She defended by saying, “Listen Andy, we learned a long time ago to have thick skin and you can’t really worry about people that are hating all the time and so miserable and feel the need to reach out and say ugly things.”
