Tayshia Adams is the new Bachelorette. She replaced Clare Crawley who got engaged to Dale Moss, one of the contestants, only two weeks into filming the show.
Adams is a familiar face. She entered Bachelor Nation and made it to the final three during Colton Underwood’s The Bachelor season. She then appeared on Bachelor in Paradise and connected with John Paul Jones but they ended their relationship last month.

She’s Biracial and She Fights for the Black Community
The 29-year-old is the second Black Bachelorette though she identifies as biracial because she’s half Mexican.
She wrote on Instagram, “I truly have never felt anything like I did yesterday. I have never been one to talk about my race because I have always been the minority. I never knew any different but also never wanted to bring attention to something that would make people see me differently/ not as an equal.”
She continued, “It wasn’t until 4th grade when I had my first cognitive encounter with someone not wanting to associate with me based on the color of my skin. My parents sacrificed so much in order for my siblings and I to be surrounded by people that encouraged me to embrace my uniqueness. Don’t get me wrong there have been many along to way that have intentionally tried to make me feel inferior but I’ve been told since a young age that Gods light within will always be brighter than anyone trying to dim it.”
She Was Married Before
During Underwood’s season, Adams revealed that she was once married to Josh Bourelle who was her first boyfriend. They were together for six years and divorce only a year and a half after tying the knot. She told Underwood then that she expected to marry only once and she did her best to make their marriage work. However, at the end of the day, she said, “You can’t make someone want to be married.”
She’s Very Adventurous
During The Bachelor days, Adams was well-known for being adventurous and that’s exactly what people should expect to see in the show. She actually went bungee jumping in Thailand with Underwood and also went skydiving with him in California. Her Instagram also reflects her passion for travel. In fact, she’s been to Dubai, The Bahamas, and Paris.
